as my friends know i'm addicted to my blackberry pearl. i use the viigo reader to get feeds on all sorts of freeware and such, so i use things like a free iphone theme (just cause i'm a mac person, no iphone envy here!) and cool games from magmic and other legitimate ware-houses (arf!)
that said my latest toy du jour is worldmate which is a travel itinerary thingy in which you can put stuff via the website and it integrates into their free app. i love the free weather, world clocks and map too. so a worthwhile install even if you don't have any trips planned! it could use a some more features though like being able to edit/create travel stuff ON the bb instead of only via the site. also would be nice if you can have another person (eg admin/staff/friend) be able to log in too to update/revise trip stuff for you too. maybe that's the full boat version. i'll never know lol.
while i mention viigo - there are so many rss readers out there it's ridiculous - it's still an emerging tool so my short list of feedback is:
- ability to select which email address to send FROM (it currently defaults to your default bb address)
- ability to select which browser to open a given article in (as sometimes you want/need to view content in full browser, even though their client view is nice and the default browser is ok, i sometimes use opera mini for web browsing too)
- likewise would be nice to be able to open shown links in a browser too (main reason why i use a browser view as it is) as it only opens them internally and also would like to be able to click on email addresses and write to them directly too. thus again obviating need to open in another app at all.
speaking of opera mini, i wish (and perhaps the emerging v4 will have this) it had the means to email the current location or copy/paste to another app. it's the main reason why i don't use it is that i can't take any data out without effort. in the current version you can make bookmarks but unlike the default browser, you can't click to email a page or view the link address etc.
